Adam Cease, Lead Vocal/Guitar
Hey everybody! I’m Adam, and I’m 16 years old. I’ve been the lead singer and one of the rhythm guitar players in Ugly Paint since day one and have loved every minute of it. I love my family, friends, music, and having fun. My favorite bands are Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Linkin Park, All American Rejects, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Taking Back Sunday. My favorite song is “Fiction” by Avenged Sevenfold.
Hayden Kalianov, Guitar/Vocals
I'm Hayden, 15 year old guitarist and background vocalist. I hope you enjoy listening to Ugly Paint as much as I enjoy playing for you on my sunset orange Gibson Les Paul double-cut guitar. Playing at the Coach House, The Galaxy, The Whisky, House of Blues, and the O. C. Fair with my Ugly Paint buddies since 2007 is a blast! It is so much fun! I have played guitar since 2005, and recently, I started piano lessons to further my interest in music. I also enjoy airsofting with my friends, video games, and traveling. Jaehun Chung, Keyboard
Hey, I'm Jaehun and I am 15. I am a Sophmore at Aliso Niguel High School. I play football for my school and enjoy visiting Korea and being with my friends. As much as I love performing on stage, one of the most exiting things that I like to do is go to concerts. I use a Korg during gigs and practice with a Yamaha and a grand piano at home. I enjoy a wide range of music. Some of my favorite bands would be Avenged Sevenfold, Blink 182, A Day to Remember, and Reel Big Fish. I hope to see you at our next gig.
Jake Bernstein, Bass/Vocals
I’m 17 years old, and I’ve been playing bass for 8 years. My influences include Green Day, The Beatles, Blink 182, and Rush. I own 4 bass guitars, but my favorite one is a Fender P Bass. I love playing, listening to, and writing music. I also enjoy water polo and hangin at the beach. As a Junior at Dana Hills High School, I’m looking forward to playing a lot of gigs this year.
Matt Swedo, Drums
Hello, I’m Matt. I'm 17 years old, and I'm the drummer for Ugly Paint. I have been playing for about seven years, and I’m loving every minute of it. I am a senior at the Orange County School of Arts. My style of music is Hard Rock, Reggae, Ska, Metal, drums-and-bass, hip-hop and punk. My favorite bands are Reel Big Fish, Alkaline Trio, Avenged Sevenfold, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Sublime, Third Eye Blind, Less than Jake, Blink 182, and Angels & Airwaves. The drummers I most admire are Derek Grant, Travis Barker, Neil Peart, Brad Hargreaves, and the late Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. I love writing lyrics and music. The songs I write tend to focus on personal suffering and the ills of society. Something about me that most people don't know - I am an introvert, which means I tend to hang back in crowds - which, I know, is weird when I love performing in front of a crowd.
